I realize I’m kind of failing in the blog department lately. Not only am I not keeping my new year’s resolution, but I also have obviously given up on my commitment for lent. I feel awful about it, but blogging everyday is a little more than I can handle right now. There is so much going on these days… and I don’t say that to complain because I’m sure most of you have endlessly long days as well, but I’m just explaining my absence in blog world.
Life is good. I’m extremely happy. God is so faithful… he never changes!! Isn’t that SO GREAT? Truly think about it. He’s so constant in a world that changes all the time. I seriously cannot think of anything better than that. I’m literally trying and I simply cannot.
Spring break is next week… who ISN’T excited about that? Crazy people aren’t, that’s who.
I’ll leave you with these verses from Philippians. They’ve been resonating in my heart for weeks now. I hope they bring peace to you as they have me.
Philippians 4:4-9 (the message)
“Celebrate God all day, every day. I mean, revel in him! Make it as clear as you can to all you meet that you’re on their side, working with them and not against them. Help them see that the Master is about to arrive. He could show up any minute!
Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life.
Summing it all up, friends, I’d say you’ll do best by filling your minds and meditating on things true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling, gracious—the best, not the worst; the beautiful, not the ugly; things to praise, not things to curse. Put into practice what you learned from me, what you heard and saw and realized. Do that, and God, who makes everything work together, will work you into his most excellent harmonies.”
peace to you.
