snow days

It’s snowing outside and I think I’m one of the few who isn’t thrilled about it. I don’t mind it, I guess but I’d just rather be somewhere else. School has been canceled the past few days which has been nice. I think it’s funny that we haven’t had a full week of school this semester. The first week we only had class on Thursday and Friday. The next week started with Martin Luther King JR day, so no school on Monday. Now this week we didn’t have class on Thursday and Friday. I don’t know that anyone is complaining about this.

I’m enjoying being inside my apartment today. I’ve done some cleaning, watched some HGTV, made breakfast, I’m drinking some great coffee and will be catching up on some reading and homework today. Not bad! Tomorrow I’m going to Denton, TX with some good pals to see The David Crowder*Band and Shane & Shane. It’s gonna be fabulous. I tried to get my friends to go down to Texas with me today because I like to get away from the snow but the crazy guys wanted to stay so they could play in it. Haha… oh well. I don’t mind.

I’ve already crossed 4 things off my to-do list for this weekend. I feel so accomplished! Let’s see if I can keep the motivation going…..

To follow up on my 3rd & 4th graders:

I told the congregation at church on Sunday about what they said and did in regards to Haiti. They were so encouraged and inspired that they gave $250! I love seeing God use 8 and 9 year olds. It’s so great. This week they made bracelets to sell for Haiti and designed signs for jars to put in other kids’ classrooms. They’re so excited to give and help! It’s really beautiful.

If you’re in OKC… stay warm. Come over if you want to have some coffee, watch a movie, talk, read, listen to Lady GaGa (shamelessly of course)… or just get away from wherever you are. I welcome the company!
