workshop

Today was the long anticipated (at least for me) children’s ministry workshop at my church, Lake View Park Church of the Nazarene. About two months ago I planned to host a workshop for our fantastic volunteers. I wanted to provide a time of networking and support, worship without settling kids, and a time to pass on some knowledge I gained. I knew I’d be going to the Children’s Pastors’ Conference so I planned the workshop to be the following weekend so I could pass along what I had learned.

I enjoyed the conference so much and I wanted to pass that along to our workers somehow. From what I heard today, everyone really enjoyed it! We had some team building activities, some sessions with lots of good info on how to work with crazy kids, and we wrapped it all up with a time of worship and prayer. I loved spending time with all of the great volunteers within our children’s and teens’ ministry. We laughed, cried, prayed, worshiped, and just enjoyed the company. I feel so blessed to have this job! I get to lead, encourage, and support a GREAT group of people! Can you believe that in a church of 200ish, we have 30 faithful volunteers?? I sometimes can’t. I literally think it’s AMAZING. What a blessing.

So today went off without a hitch really and I owe it all to my King. Thanks Jesus for being so awesome and for showing up today. You are so true to your Word and I am sooooo thankful for that. Love you.
