hey stress, how’s it going? you want to stay awhile? oh, okay…. great…
so I haven’t posted lately because these past few weeks have been the busiest of the semester. Unfortunately it isn’t going to get better too soon. I have 6-7 papers due in a matter of weeks! Graduation is just over 6 months away and I am ready for that, no doubt about it… but have I told you yet how thrilled I am about Christmas? It’s only 44 days away!! My tree is up already and it looks gorgeous. Come over sometime to see it!
What are your favorite parts of Christmas? I enjoy:
the music, the atmosphere of excitement, family time, being artsy, hot chocolate, the smell cinnamon, sugar cookies, decorations, the endless Christmas movies, the lights…
A lot of folks criticize and tell me that I am skipping Thanksgiving but I can assure you that I am not! I am looking forward to that holiday as well, but I honestly think the atmosphere of Thanksgiving is just enhanced with a tree in the living room and Bing Crosby, Dean Martin, and Frank Sinatra singing in the background.
And now it’s your turn. What are you favorite Christmas memories, traditions, etc? Share in a comment and I’ll add them to my next posts. :)
Enjoy this Tuesday. You won’t have another day just like this one. I encourage you to make the most of it. Once it’s over, you can’t get it back. Invite a friend to have coffee with you. Call up someone you haven’t spoken to in a while. Love on someone who really needs it today. When this day it over, you can’t go back and do it again. Involve yourself in things that will last long beyond this day, things that will make a difference in the lives of others that will last for days and years to come. Invest! It’s worth your time. I promise.
“If I speak with human eloquence and angelic ecstasy but don’t love, I’m nothing but the creaking of a rusty gate. If I speak God’s Word with power, revealing all his mysteries and making everything plain as day, and if I have faith that says to a mountain, “Jump,” and it jumps, but I don’t love, I’m nothing. If I give everything I own to the poor and even go to the stake to be burned as a martyr, but I don’t love, I’ve gotten nowhere. So, no matter what I say, what I believe, and what I do, I’m bankrupt without love.”
