week[end] update

over the past few days, I have spent time with quality friends, loved on a sweet little one from church, and eaten great food. yep, that’s a good summary of my weekend.

(I realize the weekend as of now is like 3 days ago, but I had planned to blog about it on Monday… it is now Wednesday.. but you are still getting the weekend update.)

Saturday was a very successful day.

I had my oil changed (for free, thanks Greg!),

tires rotated (for free, thanks Discount Tire!),

took photos with Devon (to be posted later),

spent some quality time with the Meisners (Michelle & Jonathan),

took DJ to dinner (sweetest three year old you’ll ever meet),

and saw Michelle again (to make cupcakes!).

For the record, my favorite part of that evening had to be dancing in the kitchen, using  beaters with icing all over them to sing along with Miley Cyrus to “Party in the USA.”

Small groups was on Sunday night and Pastor Jim and his wife Cindi made the best tacos I’ve ever had. Seriously.. they’re awesome. You’ve gotta try them sometime. Remind me and I’ll invite you to our next taco night.

Tonight is fall fest at church and I’m so ready! I love seeing “my kids” each week. I can’t wait to see all their costumes… I’ll be sure to upload some pictures for you later of the best ones.

And one last thing before I go….

I have fallen behind on my reading of the Bible in 40 days. I have started over this week and am determined to keep it up. Ask me about it if you see me. I really want to accomplish it! Keep me accountable. I give you permission. thanks, pals!

OH MY GOODNESS, I NEARLY FORGOT.

I’m going to see these fine fellows in Dallas tomorrow (and Tulsa on Friday). I can hardly contain my joy.

I will certainly be letting you know alllllll about it.
